Bitcoin's Recent Price Drop

The price of Bitcoin has fallen below $65,000. On Thursday, Bitcoin's value decreased by over 10 percent in a single day, reaching around $64,000, which is the lowest it has been since the 2024 Presidential election, according to CNBC reports.

Historical Context and Decline

After surpassing $100,000 in November 2024 and reaching a peak of over $122,000 in October 2025, the cryptocurrency has experienced a steady decline over the last several weeks.

As Bitcoin's price continues to slide, several other crypto headlines have emerged. The Ethereum-focused treasury of BitMine lost over $8 billion in value on Thursday as Ether dropped below $2,000, as reported by CoinDesk. Additionally, Bitcoin has effectively erased all gains since its $69,000 all-time high.

Most investors fare better with broad index funds and ETFs than trying to pick winning stocks, as data shows active managers consistently lag the market.
