Redesigned Interface and Performance Claims
Microsoft is launching a revamped version of Microsoft 365 Copilot, offering a cleaner design that the company claims loads twice as fast. The update focuses on improving how users interact with the AI tool on a daily basis without unnecessary clutter or delays.
As part of this update, Copilot will provide more reliable and structured responses that are easier to scan, according to Microsoft. This approach aims to deliver information in a format that users can quickly review and apply to their work.
Progressive Disclosure and Device Rollout
The redesign, which is rolling out across desktop and mobile devices, comes with a feature Microsoft calls progressive disclosure. That means Copilot will present you with tools and controls based on your prompt, instead of showing a bunch of options at once. The goal is to reduce overwhelm while still giving access to relevant functions when needed.
You can now format your text directly inside Copilot's upgraded prompt box as well, which will expand to fit every requirement of the input. This change supports a more flexible writing process within the interface itself.
